Hi, my name is Shelley, and I am the owner and founder of Shelley’s Cakes.
Let me give you a brief outline of me and my business
Starting out over 25 years ago, I am mainly self taught but over time I have attended many courses and classes, watched online tutorials, and read endless books and practiced continually, which has lead to the creation of a well oiled business which I now run with the help of my daughter Kirstie as office manager who insures that the business runs smoother than ever.
Shelley’s Cakes runs from a dedicated, purpose fitted studio in Chislehurst producing high-end bespoke wedding and celebration cakes.
We are proud to be recommended supplier to many prestigious venues in Kent and South East London.
We offer a wide range of cake flavours and over the years have seen trends change massively. Couples favourites are still rich fruit cake, traditional madeira sponge with jam and buttercream, luscious lemon cake with lemon curd and buttercream filling and luxurious chocolate cake with chocolate fudge filling. We have introduced new flavours such as red velvet, red velvet marble, chocolate marble chocolate and salted caramel and even match green tea.
Shelley’s cakes has had the honour of winning the Kent Wedding Awards – Wedding Cake Designer of the Year in 2014 and again in 2017/2018 and finalist in 2015.
