The Harrogate bridal show of 2018 was full of beautiful designer collections and new opportunities for us at Victoria’s Bridal Boutique. Our first stop was exploring the new designs of our existing designers in store, starting with Stella York.
Stella has designed a mixture of styles and shapes as usual, but this time with new softer colours complimenting the gowns lace detail, and more sparkle than ever from delicate glitter tulle underlays fit for the princess. We like to see collections that flow from start to finish and that’s exactly what she provided.
We particularly wanted to expand our EveryBody/EveryBride collection, which is designed with the plus size bride in mind. Every bride is unique and we want them to feel that way when they visit our boutique, and that’s why Stella York are one of our go to wedding dress designers for the curvy bride. We found a lot of the dresses were designed with excellent structure, supportive bra cups and different bra cup size choices.

Stella York gowns are always designed with ease and comfort in mind, whilst beauty, elegance and attention to detail shows on the outside. Sadly we can’t have them all, however we chose a variety of wedding dresses, including some new shapes that we are introducing to our boutique. We’ve selected your traditional princess dresses, covered in pearl and sparkle detailed lace flowing into soft tulle and organza skirts, including ruffle skirts for the alternative brides. We have included your floaty alternatives with subtle lace and twinkle details, as well as the slightly fitted, flirty and fun styles with breathtaking backs and pretty cap sleeves and delicate sparkle straps.
We are extremely excited to show our brides the new Stella York wedding dress collection of 2018, we know they will adore them! We will be holding a very special preview weekend on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th of November this year please visit Victoria’s Bridal Boutique
Maggie Sottero and Rebecca Ingram have completely upped their game. The stunning Alistaire collection by Maggie Sottero, inspired by “your love story” is luminous and elegant with beautiful jewels of time and transformation. While the Rebecca Ingram Seraphina collection featuring light-as-air fabrics and blossom-like laces, a little baroque and a little boho.
Their new setup includes a runway and a boutique area so we could see the dresses on the catwalk as well as feel the fabrics and beading up close. It was lovely to relax and take our time viewing the wedding dress collections.

A new collection caught our eye; the beautiful Sweetheart range inspired by Lillian West and Justin Alexander. They are simply charming, these clean cut wedding dresses are gorgeous with soft chiffon’s, crisp mikados and romantic ruffled tulles. A selection of button and lace up backs will give every bride variety and choice all for under £1000.

After exploring our inspiring wedding dress collections, we were off to view more new sparkly bits and accessories, from Meghan Markle inspired tiaras, to delicate lace veils to match our new gowns, as well as adorably cute flower girl dresses to make anyone fall in love. We have introduced a new sparkle cap sleeve for the bride that is looking for something different, including a few stunning capes to compliment the boho bride who wants to stand out. All at a lovely range of prices to work with all budgets.
